The festival
Years after years, Cannes hosts one of the most splendid Pyrotechnic Art Festival in the world: this event puts in competition six countries during six sumptuous shows. These internationally well known artificers compete for the Silver Vestale, through sound and light. They make every effort to offer the best performance in front of a specialist jury and more than 100,000 spectators.
A very attractive event for our customers. Indeed, our hotel is located in the center of Cannes, which is only a 2mn walk from the beaches where you can admire the firework show.
2022
This summer, 6 countries competed: France, Poland, Switzerland, Norway, Italy and Canada for a little more than a month with an opening of a Festival made by France on July the 14th, the French national holiday with a closure on August 24th by Switzerland.
The Process:
During these six days of competitions, different countries will compete on different themes:
- on the 14th of July: France with the theme “Beyond the Real”
- Poland on July, the 21sts with the theme “Goscinny’s Journey”
- on the 30st of July: Norway with the theme “Romeo and Juliet”
- 08th of August: Italy with the theme “Ode to Life”
- August, the 15th: Canada with the theme “Fragile”
- On the 24th of August, Switzerland with the theme «Les jardins de la Vesta» closing with the presentation of the silver vestal.
The jury, composed of 5 to 7 judges, gives its opinion on:
● the participants on the direction
● the musical illustration,
● the synchronization,
● the choice of colors,
● the general rhythm,
● the respect of the chosen theme.
The jury also awards the Jury Prize, that is to say it rewards the artificer who, according to them, is the most distinctive of them all.
The Golden Vestal
Every 4 years the winning firms of the previous years of the international pyrotechnics festival compete to win the golden vestal the previous golden vestal was won in 2018 by the French professionals Alpha Pyro.
